Beat me with driftwood
Until I break
Someone is whistling in the night air
So cold
I watch a poor man panning for gold

Hang me into a valley
Just for fun
Taunt me with echoes
Until I'm gone
Something is missing in the mountains
So high
I watch the rocks crumbling to dust with a sigh

Lock me in a tree
Just for a day
Tickle me with leaves
Until I awake
Someone is listening to the forest
So deep
I watch the sky going to sleep

We will wax and wane

Climb onto an ocean
And throw me down
Flood me with waves
Until I drown
Something is glistening underwater
So nice
I watch the liquid turning to ice
